The 15th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic

September 8 | Bent Tree Golf Course | Jackson, Tennessee

“Golf is the great conductor of life’s symphony. It has the ability to build lasting relationships in a few short hours, promote executives, fund projects, build teams, break down barriers, and create an environment of deal-making, stress relief, and wellness.”

Colleen Ferrary Bader, Business and Golf Network strategist

That’s exactly what the 15th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic is built on. And this year, it’s bigger than ever.

This Is the Largest Classic Yet

The Legacy Chamber of West Tennessee is running the strongest tournament in the event’s history. Jackson Energy Authority. West Tennessee Healthcare. Talk-N West TN 101.5 FM. Comfort Suites Jackson and many more participants. These are the organizations and leaders who understand what’s at stake: a room full of decision-makers all focused on the same thing—real business, real connections, real opportunity.

Twenty-eight teams. Four hours on the course. The people you actually need to know. This is September 8. Bent Tree Golf Course.

Who’s Coming and What You’ll Gain

If you’re a minority-owned business, an emerging company, small business owner or community leader` across the twelve West Tennessee counties, this is the day the decision-makers are in one place.

You’ll meet bankers who understand growth. Energy leaders evaluating partnerships. Healthcare executives. Media decision-makers. Contractors. Suppliers. The people who can move your business forward. Not because they’re obligated—because they chose to be there.

On the golf course, the conversation is different. The guard is down. Real talk happens. In four hours, you can establish relationships that would take months in a conference room. You can learn what contracts are being considered. You can position yourself for partnership. You can watch how business leaders think through problems in real time.

This isn’t networking theater. This is where the work gets done.

What the Legacy Chamber Is Anticipating

We’re expecting the strongest turnout in the Classic’s fifteen-year history. More sponsors. More community leaders. More young people who will benefit from the proceeds. We’re ready to raise significant dollars for Follow Me Into Business®, and we’re going to do it in an environment where people actually want to be.

The food is exceptional. The silent auction is strong (Comfort Suites is donating a gift certificate). The caliber of attendees is real. Ed “Too Tall” Jones is the headliner. The course is challenging and well-maintained. This isn’t a corporate obligation—it’s an event worth your time.

Follow Me Into Business® — Why This Matters

Every dollar raised at the Classic goes to Follow Me Into Business®, the Legacy Chamber’s flagship youth entrepreneurship and STEM program.

Here’s what it does:

Real Business Mentorship for Young People. Middle and high school students from across the twelve counties don’t just learn theory. They’re paired with actual business owners—people in the room at the Classic—who show them how real decisions get made, how to build teams, how to execute. They see the business world from the inside before they ever enter it themselves.

Building the Leadership Pipeline for West Tennessee. The region’s future depends on young people who understand business. Follow Me Into Business® creates that pipeline. A student who learns entrepreneurship at 15 becomes a business owner or leader at 25. The ripple effect touches the entire community.

Breaking Barriers to Access. Quality business education isn’t equally available. Zip code shouldn’t determine whether a talented young person gets exposure to real business mentors and real opportunity. This program makes sure it doesn’t.

STEM Skills That Actually Matter. The program embeds science, technology, engineering, and math—the skills that drive innovation and competitive advantage today. Students learn the business context where these skills actually get used.

Students who go through Follow Me Into Business® don’t just graduate from a program. They build networks with people who show up at the Golf Classic. Many come back as young business owners or leaders themselves. That’s the compounding effect.
